WILD SILENCE: Inside&Out
— Meditation, Mindful Movement & Profound Rest
December 12-15, 2024 Nonna Hof, Mecklenburg, Germany
THE GATHERING
It's our hope that this winter gathering at Nonna Hof is offered as a little timeout from the usual hustle of this time of year, with work and family obligations piling up along with the stress, and sometimes dread of the holidays.
This weekend centers around the core teaching of the spiritual path: To let go, let it be. Surrender.
We want to let go, but we also can't help but hold on. How can we solve this paradox?
A certain amount of grace is needed for the letting go to happen. But grace is more likely to occur, if we are present enough to receive it, rather then being lost in thought.
So we'll be cultivating presence and ease through meditation, movement, nature, digital detox and a shared BRAVE SAFE SPACE:
This will be a HYBRID retreat. Upon arriving on Thursday afternoon, we'll have a practice yoga, then have dinner and, for those who wish, a sauna. We will then enter silence and spend the whole Friday following a quite dense meditation schedule. Around brunch time on Saturday we will emerge from the silence, to have plenty of time to connect to others, and to share our experiences.
Hopefully we can leave on Sunday, bathing in a sense of calm and connectedness.
The food will be plant-based, nourishing and yummy. A feast for all senses.

THE PLACE
Nonna Hof is a cosy old farm house turned retreat sanctuary. It's situated in the outskirts of a sleepy little village in Mecklenburg. Nature is just around the corner. Birds sing outside the yoga shala/meditation hall.
The house itself has an interesting layout, and all the bedrooms as well as the many shared spaces are tastefully decorated. There are several cosy spots to hang out with others, but also secluded nooks and crannies to be alone.
The bedrooms have a non-cluttered zen vibe to them, with nice touches such as fine bedding and nice artwork.
There's an open fireplace in the shala, as well as one in the kitchen/lounge, which will feel extra cosy in the winter.
In the old barn next door there is a sauna, which will be lit each evening after dinner.
The surrounding area is great for walks through the countryside.
This gathering is phone/device free. For your own sanity and relaxation, and also for the calm presence we'll co-create.
HOW TO GET HERE: From Berlin, it's a 2 hour drive. Or you can take the train to Ducherow. From there shared taxis or pick-ups. Or ride your bike about 30 minutes.
